Cyfarchion Tymor! Seasons Greetings!

Just a brief message with regard to future Neighbourhood Watch Meetings. As you know from the turn-out at our last Meeting, we have, in our Village, an unusually strong Neighbourhood Watch, and I want to thank you for your continued support.

Pending another Meeting; unfortunately, we still do not have a Deputy Coordinator, and as I am sure you will appreciate, it is necessary to have at least two people to ensure the proper support and interaction with Members. This is essential for future meetings. As you know, also at any public meeting, is not possible to exclude potential troublemakers, so it does require at least two people to take charge. So at present, it is not possible to arrange a date for our next Meeting.

As the Police have requested copies of Minutes taken at future meetings, we also need a volunteer to take Minutes at meetings, and generally act as Secretary. Angela was happy to act in this capacity, but since the problems with certain families on the Maes yr Awel Estate and the subsequent Court proceedings of last June, her health has suffered and she can no longer play an active part in future Neighbourhood Watch Meetings.

Incidentally, with regard to the Maes yr Awel Estate: the Police have advised that Maes yr Awel forms its own Neighbourhood Watch to deal with any problems specific to the Estate. PC Mark Jones has also suggested that, due to the size of the village, additional representatives be appointed for other areas.

So as matters stand, and as far as we are concerned, we do need a Deputy Coordinator and a Secretary before we can call another Meeting and take matters further. If you have any thoughts about this, please let me know.

As soon as we can call another Meeting, we can decide on future arrangements by democratic agreement.

Angela sends her very best wishes to everyone, and from both of us, a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
