The Ponterwyd Neighbourhood Watch scheme is now over 12 months old, and I would like to thank everyone concerned for their help and support with this valuable programme. I am sure we can all take pride in our efforts!

A further development is being proposed by the Police. The proposal is to merge Neighbourhood Watch with the Home Watch scheme, and the Police have suggested that separate areas within Ponterwyd such as Pen Lon and Maes-yr-Awel are represented by their own Co-ordinators. Regular meetings between the Police and the Co-ordinators could then be held to discuss issues and concerns that have been raised.

PC Mark Jones (1072) is our Neighbourhood Policing Officer, and our contact officer for Neighbourhood Watch and Home Watch. If anyone would be interested in participating as a Co-ordinator, please contact PC Jones on 0845 330 2000 for more information.
